In my own words, copyright is one's own rights to their own work. It is the right of owning your work and getting the credit you deserve so that no one can copy you and or use your work without giving you the credit. Copyright is a form of intellectual property and protects your work from others taking it and or using it without giving you the correct credit due. Fair use is a set of rules and or guidelines. It allows people to use your work within reason. This specifically allows teachers to copy materials and papers/worksheets for nonprofit educational purposes within reason. As a teacher, I would deal with these concepts by introducing them to my students. They first need to know what they are before I tell them not to copy someone's work. Similarly. to how FSU has an honor code about copyright, plagiarism and cheating, I would create an honor code in my class. This would outline the rules in regard to copyright, using others work and making sure my students are citing thei...

Blog Journal 2

My experience with Microsoft Word started in grade school. I remember in early 5th grade and on through middle school going to computer class, where we would learn how to type. We used computer games to get more comfortable typing and we also learned about the basics of Microsoft Word. I have used Microsoft Word from middle school up to this day still. Brooke's EME Blog 1

Hi everyone! My name is Brooke and I am from South Florida! I am marketing major with an education minor. Which is why I am enrolled in this class. I could not find this course offered in person so I opted into the online version.        Currently my experiences using technology in an educational setting are little to none. I have worked a small amount of times in a classroom as a substitute but have always used the projector or board by doing what the teacher has instructed of me. I also worked at a summer camp this summer with kids, and used the Apple TV for educational games and dance parties. I have not really had much experience using technology in an educational setting, but I am excited to learn.       My personal learning networks consist of Youtube, LinkedIn, Zoom, Varsity Tutors, and more. I use YouTube and creators like Magoosh for math and GMAT help, because I am studying for the GMAT this semester. I also use ...
