In doing the Web Design I learned new skills and techniques. I learned how to add my google calendar into Weebly, and use Weebly as a whole. I had no prior experience to using Weebly before this assignment, so I had to learn how to create tabs, add images, change texts, and lists. Overall I loved this assignment and got to be creative with it and pretend I had my own class. I absolutely loved designing the website and being able to be creative. I will honestly use this website for future classes, unless I find a new website or the school requires that I use one type. I really enjoyed this assignment as a whole.

I learned new skills while working with Diigo. I found it complicated at first, but after adjusting I enjoyed this website and tool. I found it useful that this allows all students to collaborate together and questions to be asked. I like the idea of using this in the future for discussion questions, because it allows for citations to be cited and sticky notes as well. I would most definitely use this tool if I worked with older students.
Technology and teacher development are very important for todays soceity. Most and or alot of learning is done online, either due to COVID or new trends or just simply involve technology. Either with text books online, study resources online or online classes, the combination of online and learning are endless. This tasks teachers and educators with the responsibility of being on top of technology trends, and being up to date on new softwares, new textbooks and more. The only way to be aware and to stay on top of these changes are to watch and read news articles and websites about technology and how its changing. Technology and new innovations are changing daily, and being informed can be as simple as looking on google and or reading a technology article. One website that I found is called Educational Technology Trends. This website lists the 11 current technology trends to be aware of and implement in the classroom. This is a great source and one I would use personally to stay in the know.

Hi Brooke
ReplyDeleteOverall, I really liked your website. The repetition of the header in your Calendar, Weekly Schedule, Announcements and Spelling List slides were great. In my opinion, it would have been nice to see a little bit more contrast within the website. That being said, I liked your use of alignment on your home and announcement pages--it made the distinctions more clear. I think you did a fine job of using proximity, and separating sections when necessary. Overall, you did a good job.
